Networked hotel management system architecture

Like the stand-alone system, the networked hotel management system operates according to the principle of "distributed logic" which guarantees the reliability of operation, as each device remains operational even in case of interrupted communication with other system devices. The basic configuration of the networked system in the room is identical to that of the stand-alone system, which offers subsequent upgrading by simply switching to a networked hotel management system while retaining the existing card readers and thermostats and without additional works on electrical installations in the hotel rooms.

In addition to the room ARMbus line used for the interconnection of and communication between all the devices within the room, with the Domina Hotel networked system, all rooms are interconnected by a NETbus line enabling the communication of all the rooms with a central computer at the reception desk where dedicated software for hotel management SFW-ALB05 (06) (07) is installed. Using this software, the staff at the reception desk can monitor and control the hotel rooms and other premises in real time, program access cards, read the entry/exit logs, monitor various alarms and the like.

Networked hotel management system architecture

The networked Domina Hotel system is a modular type system that can be expanded with home automation functions, which provides a great deal of possibilities in terms of upgrading and adapting to the specific needs of the hotel. In such a case, the system architecture cannot be standardized, since many different combinations are available.

* It is recommended to supply the system through a dedicated UPS line

* All hotel management devices in the room must be linearly connected according to the input-output principle, as well as all the room controllers with one another

* NETbus line has to end with terminal resistors R=120 ohms on both ends

* For the execution of the ARMbus and NETbus line, it is recommended to use a twisted and shielded BUS cable supplied by AVE s.p.a. (catalogue code CVAVEBUS)

Limitations of the networked system:
